Tree Mallow (revisited) ................I am quite taken by the blooms on this plant which is a recent discovery for me. Despite the frosts it is still blooming although much of its foliage is beginning to yellow. A bit of research indicates that in certain circumstances it can be somewhat invasive but I am still toying with the idea of adding it to the wild flower garden.

Seeing only the pairs of crossed legs poking out between a row of trees along a path in a park in Tübingen, Germany, seemed funny to me.

I just couldn't pass by this tree without photographing it. It was so beautiful reflected in the calm water of the River Skell in the grounds of Fountains Abbey, and its light colouration made it leap out of the darker woodland behind it. As it was a flat, grey day, I thought the conversion to monochrome really suited the scene.
As a UK birder who now struggles to find Tree Sparrows within an hours drive of home, it is fantastic to see how abundant they still are in rural Hungary.
